Not all online estate agents work the same way. You have to make the right decision for you, so we've looked at Strike vs. Yopa to see how they line up.

Strike vs. Yopa

When it comes to selling your home, the first decision you need to make is choosing an estate agent. In fact, it's probably the single biggest decision you'll make when selling. While there are a lot of estate agents out there, they don't all work the same way. There are different contracts, different approaches, and different fees (or in our case, no fee at all — more on that in a minute).

We'll talk you through how we compare to Yopa, breaking down the cost and what's included, starting with our core services.

The core service

As you can see, there are some overlaps between Yopa and Strike when it comes to their core service. You can get free valuations, photos, and more — plus no expensive overheads and a savings that's passed on to you. But there are some pretty important differences, too.

The most obvious difference is that with Strike, we'll always sell your home for free. With Yopa, you'll pay to list whether they sell your home or not — or you can choose the 'no sale, no fee' option, but that will cost you more in the long run.

Plus, with Yopa there are different prices for different areas, like whether you live inside of London or not. You also need to get in contact with them to learn more about the 'no sale, no fee' option — you can't find out how much it costs on their website.

The premium extras

Both Strike and Yopa offer a more premium service if you want optional extras to boost your sale — again, there some similarities and some differences. The most obvious is price. You can get Strike's "Ultimate Package" for far less than Yopa's premium service. And if you want to just get hosted viewings from us or just get a premium listing, we offer both separately.

With Yopa, you'll still have the 'no sale, no fee' option, but it will be higher than the prices listed — and, like with their core service, you need to get in touch with them for a quote, because the information isn't available on their website.

So, what does it all mean? There are some overlaps between Yopa and Strike — but there are some pretty important differences, too. With Strike, we'll always sell your home for free. With Yopa, you'll pay to list whether they sell your home or not — or you can choose the 'no sale, no fee' option, but that will probably cost you a lot more in the long run.

The truth is, it's your choice. Choosing an estate agent is a big decision — and it's personal. It's not just about who ticks the right boxes, because you're choosing to trust someone with your most valuable asset.

You need to make sure that you feel comfortable and confident with whoever you're working with. You need to feel like their values are going to line up with yours. For us, it's all about honesty and transparency — and putting you in control.

So take your time with it. Do a little research, have a few valuations done and pick the agency — and service — that's right for you. We think that offering you a fully-managed service for free is the best way forward, but that's just us. It's your money, it's your call.
